Dearest Miss Shea,

We are so touched by your kind message that you want to help us. You do help us, you know, when you come to visit us. We know it's not the same as getting us out of this dismal place and we do wish you could find a way to bring us to Georgia, but at least visiting us helps. Thank you so kindly.

As for rain. Oh don't mention rain. Here all it does is rain rain rain. Especially up in the tower where I am now. Wet and slimy and cold! Blimey! I've got goosebumps on my ghostbumps!

And that reminds me, why do I get so cold when I am a ghost? It's preposterous!

All right, I've decided. I'm going down. Perhaps Percy has made a warm fire in the Grand Hall. Not that the castle is much drier with half of it missing, but it rains lesser and lesser the lower we go on the island.

Anywhooo, I shall come check here again when I'm able.

I will give Molly your message. She will be pleased. She'd be here now but there is a Walking Stick nest on a twig and the babies are soon to hatch. Ick! Just the thought of all those tiny legs walking all over me!

Molly always wants to be there to help with the babies, whatever they are. You would think insects wouldn't need assistance delivering their own children but I suppose there are many things we don't know. At least not on Ravensbreath Island.

Oh dear! My white ghostly fingers are turning three shades of purple. What does that mean? It means I must go!

As the rains come down where I live, I felt sorry of what tragic you,your friends, and even your own brother. Miss Hope, we understand how time flies. As long as you don't forget us, we are always pleased to hear from you. We don�t get to reply as often as we wish. But when we can we do! How have you been?
Miss Nicky, it is me, Annabel Lee. I have collected all these scraps of paper from the other children with replies to your kind messages. These are them. First is mine-

Dearest Miss Nicky, we shall always be your friends. I must say I did wonder where you were though. Percy said I shouldn�t be so impatient. When our old ghostbook disappeared everything went pear shaped but now we have a nice new one made by Mr Henriklemen, with a bit of help from Tinker too. Still, we have to wait for the windows to open to reply, but we shall as often as we can. We are so pleased you came back. You, Miss Hope and all our other lovely Living visitors too. It makes us feel so much better now, and not as lonely. Or bored.

Yes, I am indeed in need of new titles to read. I am not sure if I can get the goblins to find and fetch them but it is worth a try. I also had some recommendations of books and music too, from Miss Megan. I am preparing a new list with some of her books. Now that I�ve heard from you I shall hold onto it for a while longer in hopes you can give me some more to add. Then we shall see what the goblins can find, if any. Oh I would be so happy.

Dear Miss Nicky, how kind of you to concern yourself with someone like me. I have taken up my lace tatting again � I use spider silk and have made some rather dainty dollies, if I may say so myself. Although they are quite grey looking. And, depending on the silk, some are too fragile and either snap, after all my hard work, or blow to pieces in the wind! Then I go to pieces as well. Annabel shouts at me and says I should not tat � it is too unpredictable and is a perfect device to further shatter my nerves. I tell her no device shatters my nerves more that she poking her nose in my tatting! I can do without her opinions.

So good to hear from you again. I must go.
